The Spyderco Harpy is a unique knife that integrates the dynamics of the hawkbill blade profile with the voracious cutting power of a fully serrated SpyderEdge. The blade is made of hollow-ground VG-10 stainless steel, which cuts with an authority far beyond its size. This makes it the tool of choice for cutting netting, rope, cord, and webbing. The handle is made of stainless steel and features a David Boye designed dent in the lock back lever to reduce the possibility of unintentionally releasing the blade. Originally designed to accommodate the needs of commercial fishermen, the Harpy’s impressive hawksbill blade is modeled after the talon of the Harpy eagle, allowing for a deliberate pulling cut where the object does not slip off the end of the edge.
